Chiang and Grace - Wedding Dinner

Another two people are disqualified from receiving Ang Pow on Chinese New Year.... :)

The auspicious event for the night belongs to none other than Chiang and Grace, our relatively new colleagues at Vishay. Both joining at around the same time in the beginning of 2010.

The wedding was attended by a number of Vishay staff. Though the dinner was held at the newly opened restaurant at Limbongan (further down the road where the new Marvelux hotel is). Getting there was either going to be a smooth drive, or a test of patience due to traffic jam, depending on which route you choose. Coming from the Tengkera side, taking the main road (passing by the Harbour Club, Melaka Club and over the flyover) was relatively smooth. Once you've brave the gauntlet of traffic, there's a lot of parking in the vicinity of the restaurant. There were RELA personnel on standby to "optimize parking", as some folks just don't have the courtesy or sense to park in a space-efficient manner. I chose to park near the Marvelux hotel, close to the main road, and walk in towards the restaurant. Seems like an unnecessary walk, but on the way out, you can bypass a lot of traffic while on foot.

The wedding went on smoothly, and due to the thoughtful couple, there was a special table set up to cater for the few Muslim guest that turned up. A plus point for multi-racial integration and cross-cultural understanding (hmm, I sound like I'm doing an annual performance appraisal).

Chiang was dressed smartly in a formal suit, while Grace wore a striking pink outfit.

Not much more to say here except congratulations to the newly wedded couple - may they live happily ever after!

It's not often that I get a chance to be in front of the camera, so here I am with the happy couple

That's just orange juice, right? Oh, wait - something wrong with my white balance setting....

Note to participants of Chinese weddings - extreme tolerance to the effects of alcohol will be an advantage!
